This test utilizes Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) technology, which is considered the gold standard for COVID-19 testing. It's essential to remember that while COVID-19 is a potential cause of these symptoms, other illnesses and infections may also be present, either in place of or in conjunction with COVID-19.
The typical turnaround time for receiving your PCR test results is 1-2 days after sample has been received in the laboratory. We will notify you once your results are ready. You can access your results via our online portal. If your test results are positive, you must contact a healthcare provider immediately, self-isolate, and monitor symptoms. In the case of negative results, it likely means you were not infected with COVID-19 at the time of sample collection. In some instances, the virus may not be detectable due to insufficient SARS-CoV-2 RNA in the sample. If symptoms persist, it's essential to follow up with a healthcare provider for further evaluation and protective measures.

Once you've completed the online test purchase and secured your appointment at one of the AlphaDERA locations, you're all set to visit on the agreed-upon date and time.
Upon purchasing your test online, you will receive a Unique ID in your confirmation email. Make sure to have your Unique ID number and a valid photo ID with you on the day of your appointment.
To have your in-person COVID-19 (PCR) test conducted, you need to first purchase the test online and choose from one of the AlphaDERA Labs' locations to book your appointment for sample collection. Please note In-Person services are only available at our locations in Houston, TX.
